The Her Legacy Project, founded by award-winning journalist Karen Davila, has launched the SHE STEMS scholarship program, awarding 10 Filipina college students with scholarships and mentorship opportunities to empower women in STEM fields. The program aims to address the underrepresentation of women in STEM in the Philippines, where only 3 out of 10 Filipinos working in STEM are women. This initiative seeks to nurture future female leaders in STEM, contributing to the country’s growth and development.
