Kinnotake Resorts in Hakone has launched a new program called “Samurai Experience – A Noble Retreat into History.” This unique initiative offers guests an immersive historical adventure, transporting them back in time by allowing them to don authentic samurai armor and swords. The experience is hosted at Matsuzakaya Honten, a 360-year-old ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) situated within Kinnotake Resorts in Hakone. Guests are outfitted with a full set of authentic samurai armor, including a helmet, face cover, chest armor, and a sword. After donning their samurai gear, guests enjoy an hour of free time to explore and participate in various activities while dressed in the traditional attire. This unique opportunity allows them to connect deeply with Japan’s storied past.
