Congress Accused of Appeasement After Dropping Hubballi Riot Case

Amit Malviya, BJP’s IT cell convener, has criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for withdrawing the Old Hubballi police station riot case, alleging that the decision was made to appease Muslim voters. The case involved violent protests by a Muslim mob following a social media post considered offensive to their religious sentiments. Malviya claims the withdrawal occurred despite opposition from the law and police departments, and that several officers were injured during the riot.
