The 2024 IIHF World Championship is set to begin on May 10 and run through May 26. While many of the world’s top players are busy competing in the NHL playoffs, there will be no shortage of talent on display in Czechia. From Canada’s Connor Bedard to USA’s Johnny Gaudreau, there are NHL All-Stars throughout the tournament.

In the United States, every game of the IIHF World Championship will be broadcast on either NHL Network or ESPN+. If you don’t have cable, there are a number of different ways to watch a live stream of every game online for free or cheap.

One option is to use a free trial from a live-TV streaming service that offers NHL Network. FuboTV and DirecTV Stream both offer free trials that include NHL Network. Another option is to use a VPN to bypass any geo-locks and watch a live stream of the games from outside the United States.

Erik Karlsson, Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman, will join Team Sweden for the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship tournament in Czechia, scheduled for May 10-26. He joins Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin and forward Victor Olofsson on the roster. Karlsson has previously represented Sweden at the 2014 Olympics and the 2010 and 2012 World Championships, as well as the 2016 World Cup. The Penguins acquired Karlsson in a trade last August.
