This is significantly lower than the usual 15.7 degrees Celsius and the lowest in 14 years. The temperature drop is attributed to recent coastal rains. Bengaluru’s AQI is currently in the ‘poor’ category.

Bengaluru is expected to experience more rain today, October 22, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. While schools and Anganwadis in the city were closed yesterday due to heavy rains, there is no such announcement today. Meanwhile, other parts of Karnataka are facing heavier rainfall, with isolated heavy rain predicted in Udupi, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Chikballapura, and Kolar districts. The IMD has also issued warnings for heavy rains in Odisha and West Bengal due to the approaching Cyclone Dana.
