Starting June 1, 2024, Malaysians traveling to Singapore can begin using QR codes for immigration clearance at the BSI and KSAB CIQ complexes, a move that is expected to significantly reduce waiting times. The initial phase of implementation will cover Malaysians traveling by bus (at BSI) and motorcyclists (at KSAB), with plans to expand to private vehicle users and other nationalities in the future. The reduction in waiting times is projected to be substantial, with a decrease of up to 83% for bus commuters at BSI and 74% for KSAB buses during peak hours.
