Reacting to alleged interference by intelligence agency personnel in judicial affairs, a full court meeting of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has unanimously resolved to provide an ‘institutional response’ to any external interference. The decision was made at a meeting presided over by Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, where the judges discussed proposals to submit to the Supreme Court. The initiative comes after six IHC judges had written to the Supreme Judicial Council expressing concerns over the alleged interference.
