Monsoon Advance Over Northwest India, Rainfall Expected Across Country

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the monsoon’s advancement over northwest India between June 27 and July 3. The IMD forecasts near-normal to above-normal rainfall across most of the country, except for the Western Himalayan Region and West Rajasthan, where it anticipates below-normal precipitation. The monsoon’s progress is influenced by the current El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) neutral conditions, with a potential transition to La Niña by August.

Expert Panel Formed to Improve NEET Exam Transparency

The Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee of seven experts to review the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam process and recommend improvements to ensure transparency and fairness. The committee, headed by former ISRO chairman K Radhakrishnan, will assess the examination process, data security protocols, and the structure and functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
