The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Exam 2023. After a rigorous selection process, 147 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the IFS. The results reflect the diversity of India, with successful candidates from General, Economically Weaker Sections, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes categories. Three vacancies for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) could not be filled and will be carried forward. Final appointments will be based on government vacancies and candidate eligibility verification.

President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the need to re-evaluate development standards and stressed the vital importance of forest conservation. She expressed concern over the rapid depletion of forest resources and emphasized the need for ecocentric priorities to protect the earth’s resources for the well-being of humanity.
