In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Indian investors have turned to mutual fund investments and direct stock trading to achieve financial goals. However, non-profit organizations have yet to fully explore these potential investment avenues. This article examines the investment options available to trusts (public or private), Section 8 companies, and societies under various legal frameworks in India, including the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950, Societies Registration Act, 1860, and Companies Act, 2013.
