Newlywed Indian-Origin Man Shot Dead in Road Rage Incident in Indiana

A 29-year-old newlywed Indian-origin man, Gavin Dasaur, was shot and killed in a suspected road rage incident in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred on July 12th, just over two weeks after Dasaur married his Mexican wife, Viviana ZaMora. According to witnesses, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between Dasaur, driving a black Honda, and the driver of a Chevy pickup truck. The suspected shooter was detained but later released, with the police indicating a possible self-defense claim. The investigation into the shooting and the alleged road rage incident is ongoing.

Indian-Origin Man Arrested in Canada’s Biggest Gold Heist

An Indian-origin man, Archit Grover, has been arrested in Canada in connection with the historic gold heist from Toronto airport, which netted $20 million worth of gold bars. The arrest comes as part of a major investigation into the April 2023 robbery, where 6,600 bars of pure gold were stolen from a secure storage facility using fake documents. The cargo container, which arrived from Zurich, Switzerland, was reported missing shortly after it was offloaded and transported to a separate location. Grover was arrested at Pearson International Airport after a flight from India, and is also facing firearm-related charges in the United States. Two other suspects, Simran Preet Panesar and Arsalan Chaudhary, remain at large.
