An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Saurabh Meena, has been arrested in Noida in connection with the alleged suicide of a woman, Shilpa Gautam, at his flat. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when Gautam’s body was found hanging from the ceiling of a flat in Lotus Boulevard Society. Meena, a 2016-batch IRS officer posted in Delhi, initially claimed that Gautam had committed suicide. However, Gautam’s family has alleged that Meena killed her and staged it as a suicide. The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, including reviewing CCTV footage and analyzing the data from both Meena’s and Gautam’s mobile phones.
