The 2024-25 Indian Women’s League (IWL) is set to begin on January 10th with a thrilling opening match between defending champions Odisha FC and East Bengal. Eight teams, including two newly promoted sides, will compete for the title in the six-month long tournament.

Odisha FC Women, the reigning Indian Women’s League champions, have added depth to their squad by signing Cameroonian defender Eliane Manbolamo Bodolo for the rest of the season. The experienced centre-back is expected to be a key player for the team in their upcoming campaign, including the inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League.
Odisha FC, the 2023-24 Indian Women’s League champions, has been drawn in Group B of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2024-25 preliminary stage, alongside Etihad Club (Jordan) and Lion City Sailors FC (Singapore). The team will compete in Jordan, aiming to top the group and qualify for the group stage where they will be placed in Group C.
