Tragedy Strikes: Fire at Delhi Children’s Hospital Kills 7 Newborns

A devastating fire at Baby Care New Born Hospital in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, has claimed the lives of seven newborn infants. Twelve infants were rescued from the blazing building, but sadly, seven succumbed to their injuries. Five other newborns are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. The fire erupted at approximately 11:30 PM on Saturday, causing extensive damage to the hospital and its adjacent structure. The bodies of the deceased infants have been transported to GTB Hospital for postmortem examinations. Police have initiated legal proceedings against the hospital’s owner, Naveen Kichi, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
