The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the application deadline for intermediate admissions until May 31, providing eligible students with more time to apply. Initially, the submission of applications was scheduled to close on May 25, 2024. Online applications are currently open for admissions to over 263 schools in Bhojpur district, with enrollment for the 2024-26 session. Candidates who have successfully passed their 10th-grade exams are required to apply online through the Online Facilitation System for Students ( OFSS ) portal.

Ranchi University’s (RU) recent announcement to halt intermediate section admissions in 14 constituent colleges has ignited protests from teachers and students. The morcha, under the Jharkhand Angibhut Mahavidyalaya Intermediate Sikshak/Sikshettar Karamchari Morcha, gheraoed Vice-Chancellor Ajit Kumar Sinha, demanding the withdrawal of the notification. They argue that the decision jeopardizes the future of nearly 20,000 students and affects the livelihoods of over 500 staff members.
