British Woman Loses Lawsuit Over Missing Farewell Card

A British woman, Karen Conaghan, lost a lawsuit against her former employer, International Airlines Group (IAG), after claiming the absence of a farewell card constituted a breach of equality law. The court found that the card was not presented because only three people signed it, and colleagues felt it would be insulting to give such a card. The case also revealed numerous complaints filed by Conaghan, which were dismissed by the court.
