Ramanjit Singh, the key conspirator in the 2016 Nabha jailbreak where six hardened criminals, including two terrorists, escaped, has been extradited from Hong Kong to India. Singh, also known as Romi, was arrested in Delhi after a coordinated effort by the CBI and Punjab Police. He was facing an INTERPOL Red Notice and was located in Hong Kong in 2018. The extradition process was initiated in 2018 following a robust presentation to the Hong Kong Department of Justice and the Hon’ble Courts. Romi is now back in India to face justice for his role in the jailbreak.
