Construction begins Monday on a high-speed rail line connecting Las Vegas and Los Angeles, with an estimated completion date of 2028. The $12 billion project aims to provide a convenient and eco-friendly alternative to driving and flying between the two cities, with speeds reaching 186 mph. The line will include 218 miles of track, primarily built within the median of Interstate 15. It will have stations in Las Vegas, Victorville, and Rancho Cucamonga. The project received significant funding from the Biden administration and is expected to generate 11 million passengers annually.
