President Biden announced a $7.3 billion investment in rural clean energy during a visit to Wisconsin, aiming to benefit rural communities across the country through the Empowering Rural America (New ERA) program. The funding, part of Biden’s Investing in America agenda and the Inflation Reduction Act, will support rural electric cooperatives in building clean energy infrastructure, lowering electricity costs, and creating jobs.
