Regina Downtown Business Improvement District Seeks Funding for Vibrancy Initiatives

Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) has proposed downtown vibrancy initiatives to enhance the city’s heart. The initiatives aim to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for local businesses and patrons. Regina Mayor Sandra Masters emphasized the importance of investing in the downtown area, which generates approximately 10% of the city’s property tax revenue. The executive committee has approved a one-time grant of $500,000 to support the RDBID’s plans, including road and sidewalk maintenance, cleanliness improvements, murals, landscaping, and ongoing entertainment.
