Chili’s Closes Irvine Location, Locals Express Disappointment and Anticipation

The Chili’s restaurant in Irvine, California, has closed its doors after almost 30 years, leaving locals mourning the loss. The closure follows the recent closures of Chili’s in Aliso Viejo and Paso Robles, California, raising concerns about the chain’s future. Despite the sadness, locals are also looking forward to the opening of a new family-owned dining restaurant in the former Chili’s location early next year.

Renewed Appeal for Missing Three-Year-Old After 48 Years

The sister of a three-year-old boy who disappeared 48 years ago has made a renewed appeal for information, hoping to bring closure to her family. Sandy Davidson vanished from his grandmother’s garden in Irvine, North Ayrshire, in 1976. Despite extensive searches and repeated appeals, there have been no confirmed sightings of him since. His sister, Donna, who was too young to remember his disappearance, said she thinks of him constantly and hopes that someone may come forward with information. Detective Inspector Ewan Bell urged anyone with knowledge of Sandy’s whereabouts to contact the police.

Chili’s Grill and Bar in Irvine Closes Permanently

The Chili’s Grill and Bar restaurant in Irvine, located at 3745 Alton Parkway, has closed its doors for good, leaving the Westpark Plaza shopping center with one less dining option. The closure, which took place on Tuesday, April 16, comes after the expiration of Chili’s lease at the end of 2020. Brinker International, the parent company of Chili’s, opted not to renew the lease and will permanently close the location. A family-owned dining restaurant is expected to take over the space early next year, but no details about the new establishment have been released yet.
