The grieving parents, unaware of the mistake, continued their journey to Skardu, where they were devastated to learn that their son’s remains had been left behind. The boy had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and was being transported to a hospital in Rawalpindi for treatment when he passed away. The family booked a PIA flight to transport his body for burial, following all necessary procedures and making the required payments. However, despite the flight being delayed for four hours, the body was mistakenly not loaded onto the aircraft and was left behind at the Islamabad airport. The incident has prompted an investigation and assurances from PIA officials that action will be taken against the company responsible for handling cargo at the airport.
