Yale Students Arrested for Protesting University’s Investments in Weapons Manufacturers

Approximately 45 protesters were arrested at Yale University for trespassing during a demonstration against the university’s investments in arms manufacturers that supply Israel. The protesters, who gathered outside the Schwarzman Center in Beinecke Plaza, demanded that Yale divest from these companies and built an encampment on campus to show solidarity with similar protests at Columbia University. The Yale Corporation, the university’s business and investment arm, has reportedly disclosed holdings in defense and weapons manufacturers that aid Israel’s war with Hamas.
