Sahaja Yamalapalli, a 23-year-old tennis player from Telangana, India, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the new No. 1 ranked women’s tennis player in India. Following her recent ITF title win, she has emulated her state-mate and former top player, Sania Mirza. Yamalapalli is focused on improving her World ranking and aims to participate in major events, including Grand Slams.
