Hopper’s Knee Strapping May Have Contributed to Latest Injury, Says Yze

Richmond midfielder Jacob Hopper may have aggravated his knee injury by playing on after feeling his hamstring. Hopper, who had recently returned from knee surgery, kicked a water bottle in frustration and walked off the field after pulling up sore during the Tigers’ loss to Melbourne on Thursday night. Coach Adem Yze suggested that the strapping on Hopper’s left knee may have caused discomfort and contributed to the injury. Hopper joins a growing list of Richmond stars on the injury list, including Tom Lynch, Noah Balta, and Tim Taranto.
