Jamesville-DeWitt (Class C) and Marcellus (Class D) ranked third in their respective classes in the first New York State Sportswriters Association state boys lacrosse poll of the spring. Overall, nine Section III teams earned spots in the rankings, including Skaneateles, which is ranked No. 9 in Class D.
Section III’s top boys lacrosse teams have remained largely unchanged in this week’s rankings, with Cicero-North Syracuse (C-NS) holding on to its top spot in Class A, while West Genesee has moved up to lead Class B, and Jamesville-DeWitt (J-D) and Marcellus have retained their positions at the head of Classes C and D, respectively.
Jamesville-DeWitt’s Samuel Brazell has emerged as a top scorer in Section III boys lacrosse. According to statistics provided to syracuse.com by Section III coaches, Brazell has been among the league leaders in points scored so far this season.
