Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, is recalling over 154,000 Jeep plug-in hybrid SUVs in the U.S. due to fire risks. The recall affects Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe models from 2020 to 2024. The company has identified 13 instances of fires occurring while the vehicles were parked and turned off. Owners are advised to not recharge their vehicles and park them away from structures until a remedy is implemented. The recall also comes as Stellantis lowered its financial guidance for 2024, citing efforts to reduce inventory levels.

It shares its platform with the Dodge Charger Daytona and will offer a dual-motor powertrain producing 600 horsepower and 617 pound-feet of torque. The Wagoneer S also boasts some off-road capability, but its ground clearance is less than that of the Subaru Crosstrek.
