Jordan Walker Optioned to Triple-A by Cardinals

Jordan Walker, the St. Louis Cardinals’ former top prospect, has been sent back to the minor leagues after a disappointing start to the season. The 21-year-old outfielder was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday after batting .155 with no homers and four RBIs in 20 games. Walker had been struggling mightily, going 3-for-27 with nine strikeouts over his last 11 games.
