A Quiet Place: Day One Trailer Reveals the Fall of New York City

Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One, the prequel to the popular horror franchise starring John Krasinski. The film, directed by Michael Sarnoski and co-written by Krasinski and Sarnoski, takes place during the early stages of the alien invasion depicted in the first two films.

The trailer opens with a firsthand perspective of the chaos and terror that unfolds in New York City as the creatures arrive. Lupita Nyong’o stars as Sam, a woman who witnesses the horrific events while exploring the city. As the aliens begin their relentless slaughter, Sam realizes the importance of silence and teams up with a stranger named Eric (played by Joseph Quinn) to escape the city alive.

The trailer offers a glimpse of the challenges the survivors face, including the destruction of bridges connecting New York to the rest of the state. Djimon Hounsou also reprises his role as Henri from A Quiet Place Part II, who aids Sam on her journey.

A Quiet Place: Day One is set to hit theaters on Friday, June 28.
