Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has dismissed comments made by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who labelled him the ‘Chinese version of Yogi’ over his decision to end the 2-hour break for Jumma prayers in the Assam Assembly. Sarma maintains that the decision was made to eliminate a colonial practice and ensure inclusivity, while Yadav criticizes the move as a means to harass Muslims.
