India’s top junior badminton star Tanvi Patri advanced to the U-15 girls singles final at the Badminton Asia U-17 & U15 junior championships in Chengdu, China. Patri defeated Kungkaew Kakanik of Thailand in the semi-final, while Gnana Dattu TT secured a bronze medal in the U-17 boys singles.
India’s junior badminton team is set to compete in the Badminton Asia Junior Championships 2024 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The team, led by Tanvi Sharma and other rising stars, will aim for a podium finish. The squad has undergone intensive training and will face strong competition, including the host nation Indonesia. The individual championship will follow the team event. Meanwhile, Indian squash players have begun their campaigns at the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships in Islamabad.
