Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Reiterates Loan Waiver Promise, Warns KCR

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reiterated his promise to waive farmer loans up to Rs 2 lakh by August 15. He made the announcement while addressing a meeting in his Kodangal assembly constituency, stating that even if former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao were to “die by hanging in his farm house,” he would fulfill his commitment. Reddy’s comments came as Rao, the chief of Bharat Rashtra Samithi, is set to begin his Lok Sabha campaign. Rao has been touring drought-hit districts, promising farmers that they were better off under his leadership when there was no water shortage. Reddy’s loan waiver promise was first made two days ago in Bhongir. BRS leader T Harish Rao, the nephew of Rao, had challenged Reddy to resign if he failed to deliver on his promise. Reddy responded by asking if KCR would disband his party if he kept his word.

At a nomination event for BRS candidate Maloth Kavitha, MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra criticized the Congress regime, highlighting its unfulfilled promises and loss of public trust. Ravichandra urged voters to support Kavitha to secure the Mahabubabad Lok Sabha seat again. Former Minister Satyavathi Rathod, ex-MLAs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, and other party members attended the event.
