Will Brij Bhushan Singh Contest Lok Sabha Poll from UP’s Kaiserganj? Here’s What He Said

Former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has expressed a high likelihood of contesting from Uttar Pradesh’s Kaiserganj constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Despite facing allegations of sexual harassment by female wrestlers, Singh remains confident of securing a resounding victory if he does contest from Kaiserganj, where he won by over 2 lakh votes in the previous election.

However, the BJP has yet to officially announce its candidate for the Kaiserganj seat. The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases from April 26 to June 1, with counting of votes on June 4.

BJP Leader Brij Bhushan Singh Hints at Contesting from Kaiserganj in UP

BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh, an accused in an alleged sexual harassment case involving female wrestlers, has hinted at contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Kaiserganj constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Singh, who is the incumbent MP from Kaiserganj, said that he is not a candidate at the moment, but the BJP has no contest on the seat. He added that the party workers have given a slogan of winning by 5 lakh votes this time. Singh further stated that he is a strong contender and will contest the elections with a 99.9% certainty, even if the party announces the candidate at the last moment.
