Kanchenjunga Express Train Accident in West Bengal: 5 Dead, 30 Injured

A goods train collided with the Kanchenjunga Express in West Bengal’s Darjeeling district on Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuries to 30 others. The incident occurred near Rangapani station, close to New Jalpaiguri, when the goods train hit the rear parcel coach of the Sealdah-bound Kanchenjunga Express. Videos and images from the site show a wagon of the Kanchenjunga Express suspended in the air, highlighting the severity of the collision. The goods train is suspected to have overshot a signal, leading to the accident. Rescue and medical teams, including NDRF personnel and ambulances, have been deployed to the site.
