A family in Kanpur was shocked to receive an electricity bill of nearly ₹ 4 lakhs for using basic appliances like a cooler, refrigerator, and fans. However, the Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (Kesco) clarified that the inflated bill was due to a technical glitch and will be rectified.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 for the Kanpur centre to May 29, 2024, due to the distribution of a wrong question paper at the exam centre on May 15. The exam will be reconducted for over 220 students at an exam centre at Maharana Pratap Group of Colleges in Kanpur. The NTA clarified that there was no question paper leak but rather an incorrect distribution of the test paper at one centre in Kanpur. The Delhi centre exam was also rescheduled from May 15 to May 29 due to unavoidable reasons. The NTA encourages candidates to download their admit cards after May 14 evening as any changes in exam centres due to administrative reasons may be reflected on the admit card.
