Starting October 6, 2024, Southwest Airlines will introduce nonstop flights connecting Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Kansas City International Airport (MCI). The flights will operate four times a week, providing a convenient and direct link between the two cities. This is the latest addition to Sacramento Airport’s expanding flight services, which have included new nonstop routes to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Ontario International Airport.
Kansas City’s renowned pitmasters will gather once again this September for the Made for Kansas City BBQ Championship. The grand prize winner will receive a one-year license to become the Pitmaster at the Kansas City BBQ Experience Restaurant at the new Kansas City International Airport, along with a substantial cash prize. The championship will be hosted at City Hall and the Campus of Holladay Distilleries in Weston, MO, on September 13-14, 2024.
