Massive Landslide in Papua New Guinea Claims Lives of Over 670 People

A devastating landslide in Papua New Guinea’s Kaokalam Village has claimed the lives of at least 670 people, as per estimates by the UN migration agency. The landslide, which struck early on Sunday, buried over 150 homes, leaving survivors displaced and in need of urgent assistance. Aid efforts are being hampered by the difficult terrain and ongoing landslides, posing a significant risk to those in the affected area.
