The Karachi administration has begun blocking roads in anticipation of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s visit on Tuesday. Banners with welcome messages from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have been placed along the city’s main artery, Sharea Faisal. Several key roads have been closed, including MA Jinnah Road, the road leading to Numaish from Shahra-e-Quaideen, and areas surrounding the People’s Secretariat. Police units have been deployed at various locations for security purposes.

In response to security concerns, the Karachi administration has banned the flying of camera drones for seven days. The ban comes ahead of the visit of an Iranian delegation led by President Ebrahim Raisi. The decision was made at the request of the police after a recent terrorist attack targeting foreign nationals.
