Prajwal Revanna to Appear Before SIT in Sex Abuse Case on May 31

Responding to his grandfather’s call to return and face the probe, JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has announced his appearance before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 31st. He left India on April 27th, following the formation of an SIT to investigate allegations against him. Revanna has apologized to his parents and attributed his foreign trip to political conspiracy and depression.

Karnataka Government Seeks Revocation of Prajwal Revanna’s Diplomatic Passport Amid Sexual Harassment Charges

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is processing a request from the Karnataka government to cancel the diplomatic passport of suspended JD(U) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing sexual harassment charges. The request was made in light of an arrest warrant issued against Revanna by a Special Court for Elected Representatives. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the cancellation of Revanna’s passport. Revanna, who fled the country on April 27, 2024, is accused of several incidents of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and contested as the NDA candidate in the polls from Hassan.
