The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on a security check post in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing six security personnel and injuring 11 others. This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by Pakistan in the wake of the Taliban’s takeover in Afghanistan.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has claimed to have killed eight terrorists involved in attacks on Customs officials in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. One of the most-wanted terrorists, Jahanzaib, was also killed in the operation. The terrorists were also involved in extortion, attacks on security forces, and target killing. The CTD has blocked the escape routes of the terrorists and is taking strict action against their facilitators.
