A 14-year-old boy from Malappuram, Kerala, who had tested positive for Nipah virus, succumbed to the infection on Sunday after suffering a cardiac arrest. The boy was undergoing treatment in Kozhikode.

AirAsia is expanding its network in India with two new routes to the cities of Kozhikode and Guwahati, bringing the airline’s total number of routes to the country to 15. The new services will commence on August 1, 2024, and will operate thrice weekly. To celebrate the launch, AirAsia is offering complimentary seats from Kuala Lumpur to Kozhikode and Guwahati, starting at just RM201 and INR4,132 respectively. Bookings are open until May 5, 2024, for travel between August 1 and June 17, 2025.
