UK Box Office: ‘Back to Black’ Stays Top, ‘Civil War’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ Hold Strong

Studiocanal’s Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’ maintained its reign at the top of the UK and Ireland box office for a second consecutive weekend, raking in £1.8 million ($2.3 million). The film’s total earnings have now reached £6.3 million.

In second place, Entertainment Film Distributors’ ‘Civil War,’ directed by Alex Garland and starring Kirsten Dunst, collected £1.05 million, bringing its total earnings to £3.8 million.

Universal’s ‘Kung Fu Panda 4′ held strong in third position in its fourth weekend, earning £901,615 for a total of £18.5 million.

Warner Bros.’ ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ followed in fourth place in its fourth weekend, adding £652,128 to its total earnings of £12.8 million.

Universal’s ‘Abigail’ debuted in fifth position with a respectable £596,590.
