Spain Unveils New Visa Centers in Kuwait to Enhance Travel Relations

The Spanish Embassy in Kuwait has inaugurated new state-of-the-art visa centers to meet the growing demand for travel to Spain. The initiative aims to streamline the application process for Kuwaiti citizens and residents, making it easier for them to explore Spain’s rich culture and access its renowned medical facilities, particularly in ophthalmology. The timing of the center openings aligns with the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, highlighting Spain’s commitment to international tourism. In 2022, the embassy issued nearly 30,000 visas, and the number continues to rise, with a significant surge in applications from Kuwaiti nationals. To further support Kuwaiti travelers, a temporary consular office has been established in Torremolinos, Spain, during peak tourist season. Additionally, the embassy is working towards reintroducing direct flights from Kuwait to Madrid and increasing the frequency of flights to Barcelona and Malaga, further enhancing air connectivity between the two countries.
