North Hunterdon’s softball team put on a dominant display against Hillsborough, securing a 7-1 victory thanks in large part to Kylie Petak’s milestone achievement of reaching 100 career hits. Petak’s impressive performance included a 2-for-3 batting average with three RBIs and a two-run homer, while Morgan Penna contributed with a 2-for-4 performance and two doubles. Katie Reed also made a significant impact with a 3-for-4 batting average, two RBIs, and two doubles. Layla Francisco’s exceptional pitching performance further cemented North Hunterdon’s victory, recording 11 strikeouts, no walks, and allowing only five hits. Hillsborough’s Noelle Miliano had an RBI, and Julianna Sabo scored a run for her team.
