Robert Crimo III, the suspect in the Highland Park mass shooting, has been granted permission to make phone calls with family members. At a brief court hearing, Judge Victoria Rossetti modified her order that had previously banned Crimo’s access to phones and the internet while in jail. Crimo will now be provided with a computer tablet and allowed to make audio-only calls to four designated family members. He is scheduled to stand trial next year on charges of first-degree murder and other felonies.
