During a recent cabinet reshuffle event, Moe stated that he had reached out to Harrison and been informed that the accusations were “unequivocally false.” He expressed surprise and concern over the situation, emphasizing that he found the alleged behavior highly uncharacteristic of Harrison. Weekes had previously accused Harrison of bragging about his influence over the Speaker and sending harassing text messages. He also alleged that Harrison had engaged in inappropriate behavior since his election and expressed concerns about his fascination with firearms, including bringing a hunting rifle into the legislative building. Premier Moe questioned the need for Harrison to bring a handgun into the legislature, stating that there is ample security personnel carrying firearms for protection. Weekes responded to Moe’s comments, indicating that he had attempted to communicate his concerns to the Premier but found it challenging to reach him.
