Liverpool-Manchester Rail Link Advances with New Public-Private Board

Liverpool and Manchester are set to enhance their rail connectivity with the creation of a Liverpool-Manchester Railway Board. This joint venture aims to increase rail capacity between the two cities. The Labour candidates, Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham, have pledged to establish the board if they are reelected. The government has approved the consideration of alternative options for bolstering the Liverpool-Manchester corridor, offering the possibility of new twin track lines and improved infrastructure.
