Enhanced Connectivity: Slovenia and Austria Inaugurate New Cross-Border Passenger Services

Slovenian Railways and Austrian Federal Railways have introduced two new cross-border passenger services, connecting Ljubljana to Villach and Graz, and Pragersko and Maribor. These services aim to improve connectivity between Slovenia and Austria, providing frequent and reliable connections. The launch was attended by Darja Kocjan of SŽ Passenger Transport and Kurt Bauer of ÖBB. The services utilize SŽ’s Class 510 Stadler Flirt EMUs, capable of handling different voltage requirements. The collaboration is expected to increase international passenger traffic and foster closer cultural and economic ties between the countries.
