A construction crew and a school employee recently discovered a time capsule from the 1920s during the demolition of an old high school in Mankato, Minnesota. The capsule, which was opened on Monday, contained various historical artifacts such as newspapers, financial statements, organizational rosters, and coins. The discovery of the well-preserved capsule has excited the community, providing a glimpse into the local history of the era. The artifacts will be preserved and shared by the Steele County Historical Society in partnership with the school district’s museum.
