A Delhi eatery owner was detained by police for allegedly selling biryani on disposable plates bearing Lord Ram’s image. He claimed to be unaware of the presence of the images, and the factory owners corroborated his statement. The Delhi Police detained the shopkeeper under CrPC sections 107/151 for preventive detention, seized the plates, and continue to investigate the matter. No case has been registered yet.
